My name is Ray Ortiz, and I am the Founder & CEO of this Dallas-based photography company.

Photography has always been my passion, ingrained in me since a young age. I still vividly recall being captivated by the old cameras, films, and photo albums that belonged to my grandparents. As a child, I would playfully pretend to take pictures with their vintage camera, igniting my love for capturing moments.

Growing up, I was fortunate to receive my first photography job from my uncle, who entrusted me with documenting his wedding. Equipped with a silver Canon digital camera, I eagerly embraced the opportunity and began capturing a wide range of subjects, from wildlife and flowers to cherished road trips with my grandparents. I even used the camera to digitally restore our family's treasured photo albums, preserving memories for generations to come.

My passion for photography only intensified as I embarked on countless adventures, exploring new places and immortalizing breathtaking moments. It became clear that my calling was to continue honing my skills and evolving as a photographer.

Today, I remain committed to continuous learning and growth in the dynamic world of photography. It is a lifelong journey of discovery, and I strive to push the boundaries and take my craft to new heights. Rays of Nostalgia was born out of this desire to create something extraordinary, to deliver captivating and nostalgic images that evoke emotions and tell compelling stories.
